The anticipated cost of the Indoor Riding Arena Development is approximately £1.65 million.
Half of the costs are attributable to the Riding Arena itself along with new stabling, while the remaining money is the cost of a new Clubroom, kitchen, viewing gallery, meeting room, quiet room, changing room and toilets.
We intend to build in two phases, with the Arena and new stabling forming Phase 1.
The remaining parts of the development will then be added during Phase 2.
The cost of Phase 1 of the Indoor Riding Arena Development, which includes a great deal of earthworks to level part of the site, is approximately £950,000 of which we have already raised over three quarters.
Phase 2 will consist of a new clubroom, viewing gallery, kitchen, meeting room, quiet room, changing room and toilets.
While Ravelrig RDA’s own fundraising efforts have contributed over £200,000 to the Phase 1 development fund, other major funders include the Peoples Postcode Lottery, SportScotland, the Robertson Trust and the Clothworkers Foundation. Further funds have been kindly received or pledged from ASDA Foundation, First State Investments, RS Macdonald Trust, SPIFOX, Peter Harrison Foundation, ACT and the Cruden Foundation. Support in kind has been provided by the Cranfield Trust. Further funding applications are always in progress as we strive to reach our target sum.
Helping us with the design and construction of our project are our Design Team of Lee Boyd (Architects), Hardies (Quantity Surveyors), Irons Foulner (Services Engineers) and David Narro Associates (Structural Engineers). To date, they have successfully obtained Planning Permission for us, and are currently in the process of submitting Building Warrant.
