Sally and Irene went out on a short hack earlier this week on Paco and Buddie. They had a great time and the sun was shining all the time for them. Paco and Buddie were so well behaved and enjoyed stretching their legs outside Ravelrig RDA.
They also looked super smart with their new numnahs that Irene had bought for us. They are a lovely purple with Ravelrig RDA embroidered onto them in gold thread.

CALA recently donated £20,000 to Ravelrig towards our Indoor Arena, which helps us step a little nearer to the final fundraising target.
Their generosity is really appreciated by everyone who uses Ravelrig, from riders, volunteers and not forgetting our great horses.
Why not click here to read more about it.
(And yes it was raining very heavily when the photographer arrived!)

Last week we were visited by Jean and Brian Wright who were delivering a cheque for Jean’s son and Brian’s brother Graham who kindly ran the Edinburgh Marathon earlier this year for Ravelrig. Graham has raised money this way before for Ravelrig, so we are so very grateful for him undertaking over 52 miles of running for the stables. Graham raised a brilliant £500 for Ravelrig this time, which takes his grand total to over £1,000!
Without fundraising Ravelrig just wouldn’t be able to function properly. It is these acts of kindness and dedication that really help us to keep going, so from everyone at Ravelrig a big THANK YOU !!!
Jean and Brian came along to present the cheque to a couple of the horses.

Jonathan Page from Harmeny Pentland Runners popped in, or should that be jogged in earlier this week with a lovely cheque for £300 that they raised for Ravelrig from their Awards Night.
Harmeny Athletic Club is based in Balerno and they have a Junior and Adult Section. The Junior Group caters for runners from the age of 9 – 16 years and if you are a bit older and fancy running in the beautiful Pentland Hills while getting fit and meeting new people then why not give the Adult Group a try.
We are really grateful to Harmeny Pentland Runners for choosing to support Ravelrig RDA in their fundraising Award Night and the money will go a long way in helping support our 8 specially trained horses, riders and volunteers.
With the Summer Open Day upon us shortly we are looking for raffle prizes to be donated to help raise funds for Ravelrig.
Do you know someone who could help? We already have some wonderful prizes, including a facial or massage from the lovely Alma at Cherry Blossom Beauty in Bruntsfield.
If you want to donate something to the raffle or tombola please let us know or drop it in to the office.
A big thank you to Scotmid to donated £500 to Ravelrig to allow us to buy some much needed new lockers for riders and volunteers.
