Running the Race for Ravelrig

Last week we were visited by Jean and Brian Wright who were delivering a cheque for Jean’s son and Brian’s brother Graham who kindly ran the Edinburgh Marathon earlier this year for Ravelrig.  Graham has raised money this way before for Ravelrig, so we are so very grateful for him undertaking over 52 miles of running for the stables.  Graham raised a brilliant £500 for Ravelrig this time, which takes his grand total to over £1,000!

Without fundraising Ravelrig just wouldn’t be able to function properly.  It is these acts of kindness and dedication that really help us to keep going, so from everyone at Ravelrig a big THANK YOU !!!

Jean and Brian came along to present the cheque to a couple of the horses.

Thank you!!!

A big thank you to Graham and Jamie for raising money for Ravelrig for the Edinburgh Marathon.

Graham took part in the Marathon, even after an knee injury, but with lots of support from fellow runners and the crowds Graham finished in a great time and made some new friends along the way.

Jamie completed the relay, along with Holly, Amy and Lachlan again in a great time and were only feeling a bit stiff on the Monday morning!

Remember, you can still donate to Ravelrig on their Just Giving Pages to help top up the amounts.
