Volunteers

We recently posted a couple of pictures on our Facebook page of two of our wonderful volunteers accepting awards in 2014.

Chris won the RDA Regional Volunteer of the Year 2014, here he is accepting it from Princess Anne, who is the President of RDA.

Dressage

Everyone at Ravelrig will be cheering for Dianne Allan, one of our Monday night riders who is competing in the RDA National Championships down in Hartpury in Gloucestshire.  The event is running from Friday 13th July until Sunday 15th July and Dianne’s event is on the Saturday.

We all wish her the best of luck on the day, we know she will have an amazing time.

We also want to thank Borders RDA group for allowing Dianne to ride one of their wonderful horses, Domino at the event.

Good Luck and looking forward to hearing all about it!

It’s our Open Day

It’s all go at Ravelrig RDA this week getting everything organised for the annual Summer Open Day.

We have had the help of some wonderful work parties from HSBC and Lloyds and some of our own wonderful volunteers giving their time and energy to make the place and horses look great for Sunday.

Thanks to the weather and Storm Hector we had to take down the marquee that was up in the car park to then re-erect it to prevent it taking off and flying over Balerno.

We are all excited about the day and look forward to meeting you all between 12noon – 4pm

We have lots to keep you entertained from our tasty BBQ, cafe, magician, craft stalls, tombolas, raffle, riding and much more.

Remember we do have limited space for parking, so if it’s easy for you to walk…

As previously mentioned our 2018 calendar has 12 wonderful sponsors from lovely local businesses and February’s supporter is Circle Security.

Circle Security are based in Currie and are a truly local business, owned and run by local people since 1984, so they have a lot of years of experience.  They are a Which? Trusted Trader and offer a wide range of alarms and security systems.

Why not have a look on their website and find out a bit more about them.
